How it works
Playing takes three steps.

Plug it in
Connect the console to the capture card with the HDMI cable. If the card is external, plug it into the computer with the USB cable.

Open CoopSeat
Choose your capture card from the list. CoopSeat picks the best picture quality for you.

Click Start and grab your controller. That's it!

Is CoopSeat free?
Yes. The app and the website are free. If you'd like to support the project, there's a donation button inside the app.
What do I need to play?
A computer with Windows 10 or 11, a capture card (external USB or internal) and the HDMI cable from your console. That’s all.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play without an account. To watch and chat with friends, which is coming soon, you will need a verified adult account (18+).
Which capture cards work?
Most capture cards that Windows recognizes as a video device, whether external (USB) or internal (PCIe). Some copy-protected content, like movie streaming apps, will not show up.
Is there any delay?
Very little. CoopSeat was built to show the picture as fast as possible, but part of the delay depends on your capture card and computer, so it can vary a bit from one setup to another.
Why does Windows show a warning when I install it?
CoopSeat is new and does not have a digital signature yet, so Windows shows a precaution message. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
For now, the app is only for Windows 10 and 11. On other systems you can try the browser version.
